Air India SATS Airport Services (AISATS) has signed two Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with Total Solutions and SpiceXpress and Logistics to explore and develop freighter operations at its Multi Modal Cargo Hub (MMCH) at Noida International Airport.
The agreements were signed during the Air Cargo Forum India (ACFI) World Conclave 2026 and are aimed at strengthening Noida International Airport’s emerging role as a major air cargo gateway for northern India.
Under the agreement with Total Solutions, the companies will explore opportunities to introduce and expand freighter operations at the AISATS MMCH. The partnership with SpiceXpress will focus on developing freighter services at the hub, including a potential foundation for livestock freighter operations.
AISATS said the partnerships will leverage the strategic location, infrastructure and digital capabilities of the Noida cargo hub to improve connectivity and accelerate cargo movement to domestic and international markets. The company expects the agreements to help expand cargo capacity and establish the MMCH as a leading freighter hub in the region.
The AISATS MMCH is an integrated cargo facility designed to combine air cargo handling with warehousing and logistics services. The airport’s cargo infrastructure includes 22,000 square metres of warehouse space and two dedicated freighter bays, supported by digital cargo systems and direct road connectivity through the Yamuna Expressway.
Noida International Airport began commercial passenger operations in June 2026, while its cargo operations commenced shortly afterwards. The first domestic freighter, a Boeing 737-800F operated by Afcom Holdings on the Chennai–Noida route, carried nearly 20 tonnes of mixed cargo, including perishables, auto components, consolidation shipments and mobile devices.
AISATS has been building a broader cargo ecosystem around the airport. Earlier this month , the company signed an MoU with CONCOR Air to facilitate the movement of customs-cleared transshipment cargo from CONCOR’s Inland Container Depot at Dadri to the AISATS integrated cargo terminal at Noida, strengthening links between inland logistics networks and the airport.
The latest freighter agreements come as AISATS seeks to increase cargo activity at Noida and position the airport as an alternative gateway for the National Capital Region and northern India’s growing manufacturing and logistics markets.
With additional freighter partnerships, multimodal connectivity and integrated warehousing infrastructure, Noida International Airport is expected to play an increasingly important role in India’s expanding air cargo network.
