Allcargo Logistics Limited has announced a focused expansion of its domestic logistics network following the approval of its organisational restructuring plan, which houses its domestic supply chain business, express distribution, and contract logistics operations. The move is aimed at strengthening its position in India’s rapidly expanding e-commerce and quick-commerce segments.

The company is enhancing its integrated logistics capabilities across sorting, fulfilment, consolidation, cross-docking, value-added services, and secondary transportation. Currently, Allcargo handles over 10 million packages every month across its e-commerce and quick-commerce operations, with volumes rising by 25–30% during festive seasons. The expansion is also creating significant employment opportunities, particularly for the blue-collar workforce.

Adopting a multi-city network strategy, the company has extended its service footprint across 6–9 metro cities along with Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets. Technology-driven solutions, including advanced Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), are improving inventory visibility and coordination across facilities. Network planning and route optimisation initiatives are further enhancing vehicle utilisation and infrastructure efficiency—critical to meeting the speed and reliability demands of digital commerce players.

Commenting on the development, Ketan Kulkarni, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, Allcargo Logistics, said that as consumption patterns evolve and e-commerce expands beyond metropolitan markets, logistics must function as a structured and reliable backbone. He emphasised the company’s continued focus on building integrated networks, leveraging technology-led solutions, and ensuring disciplined mid-mile execution while maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.

The company’s diversified service portfolio includes a long-standing partnership with European furniture giant IKEA, for which it manages approximately 95% of logistics operations across Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai, and Gujarat. In the quick-commerce space, Allcargo also supports Reliance Retail through customised B2C logistics services, including network design, route optimisation, and capacity planning.

Strengthening its nationwide presence, Allcargo has expanded and recategorised its Transshipment Centres from 21 to 71. It recently launched the Allcargo Extended Reach (AER) network, enabling coverage across 100% of India’s available PIN codes. The company has increased its mapped PIN codes from 21,000 to over 32,000 through granular location mapping and has doubled its directly serviceable PIN codes from 4,900 to more than 10,000, serviced through its Distribution Centres.

With deeper market penetration and enhanced network capabilities, Allcargo Logistics aims to accelerate sectoral growth while delivering improved connectivity, operational efficiency, and customer experience across India.
