Amlan Bora has been appointed as the Chief Representative for India and South Asia for the Port of Rotterdam Authority, an official release stated here, Thursday.
This engagement via Dhanoni Advisory LLP, will help the port of Rotterdam, and consequently the Netherlands, to develop stronger and more meaningful partnerships with India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
Bora will support the Port of Rotterdam Authority and its stakeholders in Rotterdam, India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh in establishing equitable supply chains for cargo and bulk as well as new energy molecules, such as hydrogen carriers. It also applies to the Port Authority’s efforts to explore business synergies around critical raw materials between Europe and South Asia.
Bora operates from the Ahmedabad office of Dhanoni in the state of Gujarat which is one of the key maritime states of India, has a long partnership with Port of Rotterdam Authority and is the home to many Dutch investments in various sectors.
Prior to his current position Amlan Bora was the Chief Representative and Trade & Investment Commissioner of the Netherlands Business Support Offices (NBSO) in India. The NBSOs are trade offices managed by the Ministry of Economic Affairs of the Dutch Government.
