Cebu Pacific has renewed its long-standing partnership with Jettainer and expanded the agreement to include Internet of Things (IoT)-enabled tracking technology, aimed at improving visibility and efficiency in its Unit Load Device (ULD) management operations.

The enhanced agreement will allow the airline to track containers and pallets in real time, improving cargo handling accuracy, turnaround times, and operational planning. The integration of IoT sensors is expected to provide better transparency across the cargo supply chain and reduce instances of misplaced or delayed equipment.

Jettainer, a global leader in ULD management solutions, will continue to oversee Cebu Pacific’s container fleet while deploying digital tools to optimise utilisation and maintenance cycles. The partnership is also expected to support predictive maintenance and data-driven decision-making for fleet operations.

Airline officials said the upgrade aligns with Cebu Pacific’s broader push toward digital transformation and operational efficiency as air cargo demand continues to evolve in the region.

Industry observers noted that adoption of smart tracking technologies is becoming increasingly common in the aviation logistics sector, as airlines seek to enhance reliability and reduce costs in ground handling operations.
