The government has urged exporters to continue trade with West Asia, assuring full support to sustain shipments amid ongoing regional uncertainties. Officials emphasized that maintaining export flows to key markets in the region remains critical for India’s trade performance.

The Centre has been closely monitoring the situation and is working with stakeholders, including shipping lines, logistics providers, and export bodies, to address challenges such as rising freight costs, insurance concerns, and potential disruptions in transit routes.

Exporters have been advised to stay engaged with buyers and honour existing contracts, while leveraging government-backed mechanisms designed to mitigate risks. Authorities also indicated that necessary interventions, including financial and policy support, would be extended if conditions worsen.

West Asia remains a significant destination for Indian exports across sectors such as engineering goods, food products, textiles, and chemicals. The government’s proactive stance aims to ensure continuity in trade and minimize the impact of geopolitical tensions on outbound shipments.
