Singapore’s Changi Airport delivered a strong performance in 2025, setting new benchmarks for both passenger and air cargo traffic as global travel demand continued to recover and expand. Passenger movements reached an all-time high of 69.98 million, a 3.4% increase over the previous year, while airfreight throughput hit 2.08 million tonnes, marking a 4.5% year-on-year rise and one of the airport’s best cargo results on record.

Aircraft movements — encompassing take-offs and landings — also rose by 2.2% to about 374,000, reflecting broader growth in connectivity and flight operations through the hub.

December 2025 stood out as the busiest month of the year, with around 6.3 million passengers, and 20 December 2025 — the Saturday before Christmas — was the single busiest day, handling more than 223,000 passengers.

Changi’s expansion in 2025 included 13 new city links, strengthening its network in Asia and beyond. Key markets driving passenger numbers included China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Australia and India, while major cargo flows were logged to and from China, the United States, Australia, Hong Kong and India.

Changi Airport Group’s leadership said the results reflect continued confidence in global travel and trade, with the airport positioned as a vital aviation and logistics gateway in the region. Ongoing infrastructure developments and future capacity expansions, including plans for Terminal 5, are expected to support further growth in both passenger and freight traffic in the years ahead.
