The appointment, at the Joint Secretary level, will be for a five-year tenure, highlighting the government’s focus on strengthening leadership at strategic ports.

Mr. Dayal brings over two decades of administrative experience, having held key positions across both the state and central government. His tenure at JNPA is expected to prioritize the modernization of port infrastructure, enhancement of operational efficiency, and promotion of sustainable growth, aligning with India’s vision for maritime trade.

As one of the largest container ports in the country, JNPA plays a pivotal role in supporting India’s logistics, trade competitiveness, and global connectivity.
