IAG Cargo is set to strengthen its presence in the Indian market by leveraging expanded operations in Delhi, a move expected to enhance cargo capacity, improve connectivity, and support growing trade flows between India and key international markets.

The expansion is aimed at meeting rising demand for air freight services from sectors such as pharmaceuticals, perishables, automotive components, e-commerce, engineering goods, and high-value manufactured products. With increased capacity and improved operational efficiency, IAG Cargo expects to offer customers greater flexibility and faster transit times.

Delhi serves as one of India’s busiest air cargo gateways, providing direct connections to Europe, North America, and other global destinations. The enhanced operations are expected to improve access to British Airways, Iberia, Aer Lingus, and other airlines within the International Airlines Group (IAG) network, enabling seamless movement of export and import shipments.

The company said the expansion will strengthen its ability to handle specialised cargo, including temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals, time-critical shipments, and dangerous goods, while maintaining high standards of safety and service reliability. Customers will also benefit from improved scheduling options and broader network coverage.

The investment reflects IAG Cargo’s confidence in India’s expanding role in global supply chains and the country’s growing air cargo market. As international trade continues to recover and diversify, the enhanced Delhi operations are expected to support stronger bilateral trade, improve logistics efficiency, and reinforce IAG Cargo’s long-term growth strategy in the region.
