Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday met top UAE-based business leaders in Dubai to attract investments into key sectors including logistics, shipbuilding, and healthcare.

During his meeting with Sharaf Group Vice-Chairman Sharafuddin Sharaf, Mr. Naidu highlighted Andhra Pradesh’s robust infrastructure, skilled workforce, and business-friendly ecosystem. He invited the Sharaf Group to participate in developing logistics parks and warehouses across the State. Mr. Sharaf expressed keen interest in investing through the group’s subsidiary, Hind Terminals Private Limited, and sought a suitable location with strong railway and port connectivity.

Mr. Naidu also held talks with Transworld Group Chairman Ramesh S. Ramakrishnan, who showed interest in collaborating with the Andhra Pradesh government to establish a shipbuilding unit at Dugarajapatnam.

In a separate meeting, the Chief Minister met Shamsheer Vayalil, Founder and Chairman of Burjeel Holdings, which operates hospitals and research centres in the UAE. The company proposed to set up a cancer centre in Tirupati, extending its healthcare footprint to India.

The meetings form part of Mr. Naidu’s efforts to draw global investors to Andhra Pradesh and position the State as a hub for maritime, logistics, and healthcare innovation.
