Global container carrier Neptune has revised its ancillary surcharges across its shipping network, affecting additional cargo-related services such as documentation handling, container detention, demurrage, and equipment repositioning.

The company cited rising operational costs, port congestion, and fluctuations in fuel prices as key reasons for the adjustments. Neptune said the updates are intended to better align fees with current market conditions while maintaining service efficiency and reliability.

Shippers and freight forwarders are advised to review the new tariff schedule to assess the impact on their logistics planning. Industry experts note that periodic surcharge updates are a common practice in container shipping to manage operational expenses and ensure sustainable service levels.

Neptune emphasized that the revised surcharges are part of ongoing efforts to enhance overall network performance and provide consistent, high-quality service to customers worldwide.
