Ocean Network Express (ONE) has issued a further update on the fire incident involving its container vessel M/V ONE Henry Hudson at the Port of Los Angeles, confirming continued progress in response and recovery operations under the supervision of US authorities.
The vessel remains alongside the terminal, where coordinated efforts with the US Coast Guard, port authorities and specialist contractors are ongoing. ONE said that water removal and safety assessments in the affected areas have been completed, allowing the phased commencement of cargo discharge operations.
According to the latest update, selected containers are being offloaded and will remain at the terminal pending inspection and clearance by the authorities before onward movement. Cargo handling is being carried out in a controlled manner, with safety and environmental protection remaining the top priorities.
ONE reiterated that all crew members are safe and that no injuries were reported as a result of the incident. The company added that it continues to work closely with all stakeholders to minimise disruption and will provide further updates as recovery operations progress.
The fire, which broke out while the vessel was at berth at the Port of Los Angeles, prompted a multi-agency emergency response. Investigations into the cause of the incident are ongoing, and timelines for full cargo discharge and subsequent vessel disposition will be communicated once confirmed.
