Ocean carrier Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) has announced the launch of a new shipping service linking Qingdao, China, with Australia, strengthening connectivity between the two key trade markets.
The new service is designed to provide customers with improved access to Australia through enhanced schedule options and more efficient cargo movement between Asia and the Oceania region.
The Qingdao-Australia service will support growing trade flows, offering businesses a dedicated shipping solution for containerised cargo while improving supply chain flexibility.
OOCL said the expansion forms part of its broader strategy to enhance its global network, optimise regional coverage, and meet evolving customer demand across major international trade routes.
The new connection is expected to benefit exporters and importers by providing additional capacity and improved reliability on the China-Australia trade lane.
