OOCL has launched its new CIS3 service to strengthen shipping connectivity between China and Indonesia, expanding network capacity and improving trade links between the two fast-growing markets.
The new service is expected to enhance cargo movement for manufacturers, retailers, and commodity shippers by offering additional sailing options, improved schedule reliability, and broader port coverage across key Chinese and Indonesian gateways.
China and Indonesia maintain strong trade ties across sectors including machinery, electronics, consumer goods, raw materials, and industrial inputs. The CIS3 launch is aimed at supporting rising bilateral demand and growing intra-Asia container flows.
Industry observers note that regional carriers are increasingly adding dedicated intra-Asia services as supply chains diversify and Southeast Asia gains importance as a manufacturing and consumption hub.
