Seatech Shipping & Projects (I) Pvt. Ltd. has once again showcased its expertise in chartering and project cargo handling with the successful execution of a complex over-dimensional cargo (ODC) shipment from Shanghai, China, to Chennai, India. The shipment, offloaded at Chennai on October 4, 2025, highlights Seatech’s ability to manage challenging cargo with technical precision and operational excellence.

The consignment comprised six heavy units with over-length dimensions ranging from 30 to 40 meters, totaling 1,147 CBM in volume and a gross weight of 121,437 kg. Each unit was meticulously lashed on deck, ensuring safe loading at Shanghai Port and secure discharge at Chennai.

Seatech’s chartering and post-fixture teams orchestrated the entire operation with seamless coordination, from cargo stowage planning, lashing, and lifting technical plans at the load port, to careful communication with discharge port authorities and cargo receivers.

“This fixture reinforces Seatech’s capabilities in managing complex project cargo and ODC movements across the China–India sector,” said a company spokesperson. “Our commitment to efficiency, technical precision, and timely delivery ensures excellence on all global trade routes we serve.”

With this successful operation, Seatech continues to strengthen its reputation as a trusted partner for challenging cargo movements, underlining its leadership in the China–India maritime trade corridor.
