    The Shipping Corporation of India Limited (SCI) on Friday reported a 35 per cent year-on-year decline in consolidated net profit to ₹189 crore for the quarter ended September 2025 (Q2 FY26), compared with ₹291 crore in the same period last year. Sequentially, profit dropped 47 per cent from ₹354 crore in the June quarter.

    Revenue from operations stood at ₹1,339 crore, down 8 per cent from ₹1,451 crore a year ago, while remaining largely flat compared with ₹1,316 crore in the previous quarter.

    Total income came in at ₹1,436 crore, versus ₹1,491 crore in Q2 FY25.

    Expenses eased 3 per cent year-on-year to ₹1,236 crore, led by lower service and operating costs.

    The tanker segment continued to lead operations with revenue of ₹858 crore, followed by bulk carriers at ₹201 crore, liner operations at ₹213 crore, and technical and offshore services at ₹74 crore.

    The board declared an interim dividend of ₹3 per share for FY26, with 19 November 2025 as the record date. The total outgo will be around ₹140 crore.
