New AS3 service to connect major Asian gateways with key Brazilian ports from September 13, 2026
A new weekly shipping service linking Asia with the East Coast of South America is set to strengthen trade connectivity between the two regions from September 13, 2026.
The new Asia–South America East Coast (AS3) service, operated in cooperation with ZIM Integrated Shipping Services, will provide enhanced connectivity between key Asian gateways and major ports in Brazil.
The service will offer extensive coverage across China and Brazil, while also providing extended connectivity to River Plate ports via Rio Grande. The new service is expected to provide customers with additional routing options and improve access between major Asian export markets and South American destinations.
AS3 Service Rotation
The weekly service will call at:
Shanghai, China → Ningbo, China → Xiamen, China → Hong Kong → Yantian, China → Rio Grande, Brazil → Paranaguá, Brazil → Itajaí, Brazil → Santos, Brazil → Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
The introduction of AS3 will complement existing AS2 and ASE services, further expanding the range of shipping options available to customers trading between Asia and South America.
With growing trade flows between Asia and Brazil, the new service is positioned to strengthen supply-chain connectivity, improve market access and provide more flexible transportation solutions for cargo moving between the two important economic regions.
The launch of AS3 marks another step in expanding direct and efficient maritime connections between Asia and South America, supporting the evolving trade and logistics requirements of customers across both markets.
