Canadian freighter operator Cargojet has carried out its first charter flight to Mumbai, India following a record year for revenue in 2024.
The airline announced the milestone flight in a LinkedIn post on 15 March.
“We marked our inaugural air cargo charter flight to Mumbai (BOM) Airport, strengthening our global network and expanding our reach into South Asia.
“This mission was a testament to our commitment to delivering seamless, reliable, and time-sensitive solutions to customers worldwide.
“From specialised handling to efficient cargo movement, we are leading new standards in global logistics.”
Last month, Cargojet announced its revenues had exceeded the C$1bn mark for the first time in 2024, but it is expecting a growth slowdown this year.
The company’s full-year revenues were up 14.1% year on year and there was an increase of C$58.7m in all-in charter revenues.
Earlier this month, air cargo charter software company Aerios announced Cargojet as the launch customer of its charter management system app.
According to Planespotters, Cargojet’s in-service fleet consists of 41 aircraft. This includes 18 Boeing 757Fs and 23 Boeing 767Fs, however, the company has plans to add more aircraft this year.
