Ludhiana witnessed a significant logistics milestone with the successful movement of the first Export Block Rake from the city, signaling a boost for trade efficiency and regional connectivity.
This achievement comes as the culmination of the sustained efforts and meticulous planning of the dedicated team behind the initiative. Leading the efforts were Anand Singh, Kuldeep Singh, Sudhir Sudhakaran, Gayathri, and Dharmendra Tanwar, whose commitment ensured smooth execution from concept to reality.
The initiative also received strong support from industry partners. JM Baxi, under the leadership of Kumar Pulkeshin, played a pivotal role in coordinating operations, while Pristine Mega Logistics Park, led by RK Bhasin, Manoj Kumar, and Poroma Rebello, provided crucial infrastructure and operational backing that enabled seamless rake handling.
The launch of this rake is expected to bring multiple benefits for the export community in and around Ludhiana by providing:
Improved logistics efficiency with direct and consolidated movement of export cargo.
Reduced turnaround time for exporters, enhancing global competitiveness.
Better cost optimization, thanks to economies of scale in block rake operations.
Strengthened supply chain reliability, boosting confidence among international buyers.
Industry experts see this milestone as a major step towards positioning Ludhiana as a stronger hub for EXIM trade, particularly for northern India’s thriving industrial and manufacturing clusters.
With this first export block rake, stakeholders expect a ripple effect in terms of greater trade facilitation, deeper industry collaborations, and sustained growth in containerized cargo movement from the region.
