DHL Global Forwarding and Hapag-Lloyd have taken a significant step forward in their joint mission to decarbonize global maritime logistics, signing a three-year framework agreement aimed at reducing Scope 3 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across their shared supply chains.

The agreement deepens the long-standing sustainability collaboration between the two companies and underscores their commitment to transitioning to cleaner, low-carbon shipping solutions. Under the framework, both partners will work together to scale the use of advanced alternative marine fuels, improve emissions transparency, and accelerate initiatives that help customers lower the carbon footprint of their ocean freight.

By aligning strategies and pooling resources, DHL Global Forwarding and Hapag-Lloyd aim to make measurable progress toward industry-wide climate goals while supporting shippers in meeting their own sustainability targets. The partnership marks another notable advancement as the maritime sector moves closer to a low-emission future.
