Agility Global, a leading multi-business operator and long-term investor in global and regional enterprises, announced that its Agility Logistics Park (ALP) near Bangalore has received international EDGE Advanced certification, recognizing it as an energy- and resource-efficient green facility.

EDGE (Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies) is the global standard for energy-efficient buildings, overseen by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), an arm of the World Bank. EDGE Advanced certification is awarded to “zero-carbon ready” buildings that are at least 40% more energy-efficient than conventional structures.

The ALP Bangalore, a 56,000 SQM park located in Hoskote, features a 30,000 SQM built-to-suit warehouse operated by a leading global 3PL. The facility delivers over 50% energy savings, 63% water savings, and 51% less embedded carbon in construction materials compared with other market facilities.

Ajay James, CEO of Agility Logistics Parks Asia & Africa, highlighted the significance: “ALP India’s world-class logistics infrastructure attracts FDI, improves efficiency, reduces costs, and generates jobs and prosperity. We’re committed to providing sustainable logistics infrastructure that delivers energy and water savings essential for India’s long-term economic and trade growth.”

ALP has also earned EDGE Advanced certification for its facilities in Saudi Arabia, Mozambique, and Cote d’Ivoire, reflecting its global commitment to sustainable logistics development.

In India, ALP owns nearly 800,000 SQM of land and logistics infrastructure across nine locations, including Goa, Gurgaon, Pune, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Bangalore, Nagpur, and Mumbai. Its tenants span industries such as FMCG, e-commerce, automotive, technology, and natural resources.

The certification comes at a time when India is focusing on balancing rapid economic growth with sustainability objectives. Energy efficiency and water conservation are key pillars of India’s National Action Plan on Climate Change, while the Smart Cities Mission emphasizes energy-efficient and sustainable urban infrastructure.
