Deendayal Port Authority (DPA) marked a historic milestone today as Shri Vijay Kumar, IAS, Secretary of the Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways (MoPSW), inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for several transformational projects at the port.

With a total investment of ₹193 crore, these initiatives are set to significantly strengthen port infrastructure, enhance cargo evacuation, and support the long-term expansion plans of DPA Kandla.

The projects aim to modernize operational facilities, streamline logistics, and improve overall efficiency, reinforcing the port’s position as a key maritime and trade hub. Officials highlighted that the upgrades will not only facilitate smoother cargo movement but also attract greater commercial activity, boosting regional economic growth.

Shri Vijay Kumar emphasized the strategic importance of these developments, noting that they will play a crucial role in strengthening India’s maritime capabilities and supporting the country’s broader trade objectives.

DPA Kandla’s administration expressed optimism that the projects, once completed, will enhance the port’s operational capacity and contribute to long-term sustainable growth.
