Yeoman Marine Services Private Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Maharashtra, marking a major step towards strengthening industrial development and employment generation in the state’s Konkan region.
The MoU focuses on the shipbuilding sector and will support the development of the Yeoman Marine Shipyard at Ratnagiri, a strategic coastal location with strong maritime potential. The project is expected to generate approximately 1,575 direct employment opportunities, significantly contributing to local economic growth.
The MoU signing was witnessed by Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis, Industries Minister Shri Uday Samant, and Shri Dhananjay Mishra, CMD of the Yeoman Group, underlining the state government’s support for maritime and industrial expansion.
The collaboration reflects Yeoman Marine’s commitment to advancing India’s shipbuilding ecosystem, enhancing regional industrial infrastructure, and creating sustainable employment in coastal Maharashtra. The initiative aligns with broader national and state-level efforts to promote indigenous shipbuilding and strengthen India’s maritime capabilities.
