The Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL) convened a key stakeholder meeting to review the development of the Gati Shakti Multi Modal Cargo Terminal (GCT) at New Prithala under the GCT Policy (Schedule 2).
The meeting was chaired by Sh. Praveen Kumar, Managing Director, DFCCIL, and focused on detailed deliberations relating to infrastructure development, terminal planning and critical design considerations for the proposed cargo facility on the Dedicated Freight Corridor. Discussions centred on aligning infrastructure readiness with industry requirements to enhance multimodal logistics efficiency and ensure seamless cargo movement.
Senior officials present at the meeting included Director (OP&BD) Sh. Shobhit Bhatnagar, Director (Infrastructure) Sh. Anurag Sharma, ED (Infrastructure) Sh. Manish Awasthy, and other senior officers from operations, business development, signalling & telecommunications, and electrical departments.
The consultation witnessed participation from leading logistics and infrastructure players such as Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone, JM Baxi Group, DP World, Central Warehousing Corporation, JSW Infrastructure, Container Corporation of India (CONCOR), GMR Group, Hind Terminals, CJ Darcl Logistics, Allcargo Logistics and other industry stakeholders.
The proposed Gati Shakti Cargo Terminal at New Prithala is expected to strengthen integrated rail-based freight movement and support the government’s broader vision of multimodal connectivity under the Gati Shakti framework.
