India has signed a defence agreement with Indonesia for the supply of BrahMos supersonic cruise missiles, marking the country’s second international sale of the missile system after the Philippines. The deal is part of India’s ongoing push to expand its defence exports and strengthen strategic partnerships in the Indo-Pacific region.

Officials noted that the agreement underscores the growing appeal of Indian defence technology in Southeast Asia, with the BrahMos missile system being valued for its precision, speed, and versatility in maritime and land-based operations.

Industry experts said the deal reflects India’s broader ambitions to become a global defence exporter, while enhancing military cooperation with key regional partners amid evolving security dynamics.
