The Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC) has entered into an agreement with the Maharashtra Airport Development Company (MADC) to establish a state-of-the-art logistics hub at the MIHAN in Nagpur.

The collaboration aims to strengthen integrated logistics infrastructure at MIHAN, a key cargo and industrial zone being developed as part of India’s multimodal connectivity push. The proposed hub will offer modern warehousing, cargo handling, and value-added logistics services, catering to a wide range of industries including manufacturing, e-commerce, and agri-logistics.

Officials said the project is expected to enhance cargo consolidation and distribution efficiency in central India, leveraging MIHAN’s strategic location and multimodal connectivity through air, rail, and road networks.

The partnership aligns with the government’s broader focus on improving supply chain efficiency and reducing logistics costs under initiatives such as the National Logistics Policy. It is also expected to generate employment opportunities and attract further investments into the MIHAN region.

Once operational, the logistics hub is likely to serve as a critical node for domestic and international cargo movement, reinforcing Nagpur’s position as an emerging logistics and cargo gateway.
