New Mangalore Port Authority is set to organise a Maritime Seminar on the theme “Maritime Adversities and Role of Stakeholders” and “Indian Port Act 2025” on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at Hotel AJ Grand, Ornate Banquet Hall in Mangalore. Registration for participants will begin at 9:30 AM, with the seminar scheduled to commence at 10:00 AM.
The seminar aims to bring together key maritime stakeholders, industry experts, port users, and government officials to deliberate on emerging challenges in the maritime sector and discuss the implications of the Indian Port Act 2025 in enhancing port governance and operational efficiency.
Smt. S. Shanthi will preside over the function. Sri Darshan H. V. will attend as the Chief Guest and inaugurate the seminar, while Shri Nandakumar V. Pillai will grace the occasion as the Guest of Honour.
The event will feature expert sessions by distinguished speakers including Capt. L. K. Panda and Capt. Anand W. Karkare, who will share insights on maritime adversities, regulatory developments, and the evolving role of stakeholders.
The seminar is expected to witness participation from a wide spectrum of the maritime community, including shipping agents, logistics operators, maritime professionals, and representatives from government and industry.
The initiative forms part of NMPA’s continued efforts to foster dialogue, knowledge sharing, and collaboration, while contributing to the strengthening of India’s maritime ecosystem.
