Adani Dhamra Port has marked a significant milestone by welcoming its first-ever Capesize import iron ore vessel, MV ENNA, carrying 151,773 metric tonnes of cargo for Tata Steel.

The arrival of the Capesize vessel underscores Dhamra Port’s capability to handle large, deep-draft ships, positioning it as a key gateway for bulk cargo imports on India’s eastern coast. The successful handling of MV ENNA highlights the port’s infrastructure strength and operational readiness to cater to the growing demands of the steel sector.

Senior leadership from the Tata Group was present at the port to mark the occasion, reflecting the importance of the development and the deepening collaboration between the two entities.

This milestone is expected to further enhance logistical efficiency for Tata Steel’s raw material supply chain, supporting its production capacity and long-term growth plans. It also reinforces Adani Dhamra Port’s role in enabling India’s expanding steel industry by facilitating the import of critical raw materials at scale.

With this achievement, Dhamra Port continues to strengthen its position as a strategic maritime hub, contributing to India’s industrial growth and infrastructure development.
