The Vietnam government announced on Wednesday that the Adani Group is looking to invest in two airports in the nation, just weeks after the business disclosed that it was granted permission to construct a seaport there.

“Adani is planning to strengthen cooperation with Vietnamese partners in the fields of aviation and logistics, via the construction of Long Thanh airport and Chu Lai airport,” the statement said, referring to two major airports in the south and central regions.

The government statement follows a meeting between Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Adani Group CEO Gautam Adani in Delhi on the same day of Chinh’s official visit to India.

The investment’s size and duration were not specified in the statement.

Karan Adani, declared last year that he intended to spend up to $3 billion in Vietnam’s seaport and renewable energy projects. In the long run, he added, the investment might be as much as $10 billion.

Last week, Adani also submitted its proposal to invest in Keny’s Nairobi airport under the public-private partnership.
