Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ) has secured a 10-year marine services contract for Argentina’s first liquefied natural gas (LNG) export project supplying India, marking the company’s entry into South America and expanding its presence in global energy logistics.
The contract represents a significant milestone in APSEZ’s international growth strategy and strengthens its position in the global marine services sector. Through a partnership with Meridian Group, the company will provide end-to-end marine services for the Southern Energy Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) project in Argentina.
Under the agreement, APSEZ will deploy its marine expertise and specialised assets to support operations in a complex offshore environment, ensuring safe and efficient handling of LNG export activities.
The project is expected to play a key role in establishing a new LNG trade corridor between Argentina and India, supporting long-term energy cooperation between the two countries. Industry observers view the development as an important step toward enhancing supply-chain resilience and diversifying energy sources for India.
For APSEZ, the contract not only expands its geographic footprint into South America but also aligns with its broader ambition of building one of the world’s largest integrated marine platforms. The company continues to strengthen its presence across international maritime and energy value chains through strategic partnerships and long-term infrastructure projects.
The win highlights the growing importance of marine service providers in enabling global energy trade and underscores APSEZ’s increasing role in supporting future-ready maritime and logistics ecosystems.
