Air France–KLM is strengthening its presence in the high-technology cargo segment with the launch of a dedicated freighter service to Incheon International Airport.
The new service is aimed at capturing growing volumes of electronics, semiconductors and other high-value technology products moving between Asia and Europe. Incheon, a major gateway for South Korea’s advanced manufacturing sector, serves as a key export hub for global tech supply chains.
Air France–KLM said the freighter deployment will enhance capacity and provide specialised handling for time-sensitive and temperature-controlled shipments. The move aligns with the group’s strategy to focus on premium cargo segments that demand reliability, speed and secure transport solutions.
Industry observers note that demand for tech-related air freight remains resilient, supported by semiconductor exports, consumer electronics and industrial components. By expanding its footprint in Northeast Asia, the carrier aims to strengthen connectivity between Asian production centres and European markets.
The Incheon service is expected to improve schedule flexibility and reinforce Air France–KLM’s broader cargo network as it continues to invest in fleet modernisation and digital tracking capabilities.
