Circle S.p.A. has signed a €140,000 ($163,037) contract to digitise operational and document management processes for an Italian company active in truck services and intermodal logistics.
The client has a strong nationwide presence and is advancing towards more digital and integrated operating models.
This agreement further consolidates Circle Group’s role in driving the digital transition of transport and supply chains through interoperable, scalable solutions that fully comply with EU regulations.
The project will implement the LogIN Business and MILOS® TFP platforms to fully digitise operational and document management processes.
A key focus is the dematerialisation of transport documents, introducing e-CMR and e-DDT with digital signatures, enabling complete digital document cycles accessible via web and a dedicated driver app.
Interoperability with logistics hubs (ports, freight villages, airports, terminals) is also central, supporting automation of inbound and outbound data flows and streamlined arrival notifications with qualified ETA calculations.
The system will also provide real-time alerts on operational disruptions, such as strikes or accidents.
The solution integrates with existing ERP and TMS systems used by clients and shippers, ensuring seamless operations, fewer manual errors, and overall process optimisation.
Planned features include digital communication with rail operators using interoperable documents (e-CIM, H30, EDIGES) and future integration with maritime agencies, aligning with a comprehensive intermodal strategy.
The MILOS® ecosystem offers centralised, natively integrated management with minimal need for customisation or ongoing maintenance, being fully compatible with industry standards and third-party systems.
The project also includes advanced telematics for fleet management, covering toll services in 17 European countries and enabling real-time tracking of vehicles, trailers, cargo, and environmental conditions such as fuel, temperature, and safety.
Luca Abatello, CEO of Circle Group, said: “With this new contract, we are further strengthening our mission: to support the digital transformation of European logistics through a federated, interoperable and natively integrated ecosystem.
“Our solutions enable industry players to successfully address regulatory, technological and environmental challenges, reducing complexity and increasing value generated throughout the logistics chain, in line with the objectives of the ‘Connect 4 Agile Growth’ business plan.”
In July, Circle S.p.A. signed a €200,000 ($232,000) contract to enhance interoperability and digital transformation within Italy’s national port system.
