CMA CGM has officially welcomed its newest ultra-large container vessel, the CMA CGM Notre Dame, during her maiden call at Port of Le Havre, marking the debut of the first ship in the company’s new 24,000 TEU series sailing under the French International Register (RIF).

Measuring 400 metres in length, the vessel represents the latest addition to CMA CGM’s next-generation fleet expansion programme. Designed with advanced technologies and enhanced environmental performance, the ship reflects the group’s continued investment in modernising its fleet while improving operational efficiency and supporting the maritime industry’s transition towards more sustainable shipping.

The company said the delivery of CMA CGM Notre Dame is the result of extensive collaboration across its global teams, highlighting the expertise and coordination required to execute complex newbuilding projects.

Following her maiden arrival at Le Havre, the vessel will enter commercial service, connecting major global ports and supporting international supply chains with increased capacity, reliability, and efficiency.

CMA CGM also acknowledged the support of HAROPA PORT for hosting the vessel’s inaugural call and extended its appreciation to the crew and project teams involved in delivering the new flagship.

The introduction of CMA CGM Notre Dame reinforces the carrier’s long-term strategy of deploying larger, more fuel-efficient vessels to meet growing global trade demand while advancing its sustainability objectives.
