The Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC) has enabled the successful rollout of the Depot Darpan Portal at the Uttar Pradesh State Warehousing Corporation (UPSWC), marking a significant step toward transparent, standardised and technology-driven public warehousing in line with the Government of India’s vision.

The portal was formally launched by Santosh Sinha, Managing Director of CWC, in the presence of R. B. Gupta, Managing Director of UPSWC, along with senior officials from both organisations including Alok Kumar Singh, Niraj Priyadershi, Anil Manik Rao and P. K. Saw.

Developed and implemented end-to-end by CWC’s Consultancy Cell, Depot Darpan introduces a structured, data-driven approach to warehouse management across UPSWC’s network. The platform enables real-time performance monitoring, comprehensive warehouse assessments and dashboard-based oversight, strengthening operational transparency and accountability.

A key feature of the system is its evaluation framework, which assesses warehouses across 90 parameters spanning infrastructure, operational efficiency, safety and statutory compliance. These assessments are supported by photographic evidence and a 1-to-5-star rating system, providing a clear and measurable benchmark for performance.

The portal also incorporates a three-tier monitoring mechanism—at the warehouse, regional office and corporate office levels—allowing faster identification of gaps, data-backed decision-making and timely corrective action.

The implementation underscores CWC’s expanding role as a knowledge and technology partner to State Warehousing Corporations, offering digital platforms, cloud-enabled deployment, training and post-implementation support.

With this milestone, UPSWC takes a decisive step toward modernising its warehousing ecosystem, while CWC continues to reinforce its commitment to building a more efficient, accountable and future-ready logistics infrastructure across India.
