The Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Ltd. (DFCCIL) has rolled out its innovative Trucks-on-Train (ToT) service, introducing a game-changing multimodal platform aimed at making freight movement across India faster, more economical, and environmentally sustainable.

The service, currently operational on the New Palanpur–New Rewari route, allows trucks to be transported on freight trains, providing a seamless end-to-end logistics solution.

According to DFCCIL, the ToT initiative will:

Minimise road congestion and reduce transit delays, ensuring faster turnaround times.

Expand reach by connecting major industrial clusters through the dedicated freight corridors.

Offer a clear operational cost advantage by reducing fuel, toll, and maintenance expenses.

Enable green logistics, lowering carbon emissions while maintaining high reliability.

By combining the efficiency of rail with the flexibility of road transport, DFCCIL’s Trucks-on-Train service is expected to unlock new opportunities for transporters, logistics operators, and businesses while strengthening India’s freight value chain.
