EcoNavis Solutions has partnered with Greece-based Franman to introduce its energy-saving Eco Boss Cap technology to shipowners in Greece, Cyprus, and Greek interests worldwide. Under a newly signed agency agreement, Franman will distribute the retrofit device, opening access to one of the world’s largest commercial shipping fleets.

The partnership follows EcoNavis’ presentation at the Hellenic Institute of Marine Technology, where the company highlighted research demonstrating the Eco Boss Cap’s performance benefits and emissions reduction potential.

Designed to be retrofitted to a vessel’s propeller hub, the Eco Boss Cap enhances propulsion efficiency by reducing hub vortex cavitation and optimising water flow. The technology delivers verified fuel savings of 3–5% and corresponding CO₂ emission reductions, supporting the shipping industry’s transition towards greener operations.

Dr. Batuhan Aktas, Managing Director of EcoNavis Solutions, said:
“From our first discussions, it was clear that Franman shares our commitment to environmental sustainability. With its extensive network and deep knowledge of the Greek maritime sector, Franman is the ideal partner to introduce the Eco Boss Cap to the region’s shipowners. Together, we can help the fleet take meaningful steps toward meeting global environmental standards.”

Established in 1991, Franman is one of Greece’s leading agents for shipbuilding equipment, parts, and services, representing over 200 international manufacturers. The company has supplied equipment to more than 5,500 ships and today connects over 700 shipping companies with trusted suppliers worldwide.

    Franman CEO Costis Frangoulis commented:
“Since our foundation, we have focused on delivering proven solutions to our clients. The Eco Boss Cap offers shipowners a simple yet effective way to improve fuel efficiency, cut emissions, and reduce costs. This partnership with EcoNavis strengthens our role as a trusted bridge between innovation and the Greek fleet while supporting a more sustainable shipping industry.”

The agreement also includes potential expansion into other European markets through Franman’s wider client network. With both companies committed to sustainability and performance, the collaboration is expected to accelerate adoption of the Eco Boss Cap across the Greek and European shipping sectors.
