The Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO), in association with the Office of the Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), Regional Authority, Ludhiana, organised the India–UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) Flag-off Ceremony on July 15, 2026, at the premises of M/s Danodia Foods Private Limited in Solan, Himachal Pradesh.

The ceremony marked another milestone in the implementation of the India–UK CETA, highlighting the expanding export potential of Himachal Pradesh and reinforcing India’s commitment to strengthening trade ties with the United Kingdom.

Senior officials from the Office of DGFT (RA), Ludhiana, along with representatives of M/s Danodia Foods Private Limited, attended the event, underscoring the collaborative efforts of the government and industry in promoting exports under the landmark trade agreement.

The flag-off ceremony celebrated the launch of export consignments under the India–UK CETA and showcased the growing participation of exporters from Himachal Pradesh in international markets. The agreement is expected to provide Indian exporters with enhanced market access, reduced trade barriers, and greater opportunities to expand their presence in the UK market.

With the operationalisation of the India–UK CETA, exporters across sectors are expected to benefit from improved trade facilitation, boosting bilateral commerce while strengthening India’s position as a competitive global trading partner. The initiative also reflects the government’s continued focus on accelerating exports from emerging manufacturing and agri-processing hubs across the country.
