    A.P. Moller – Maersk (Maersk) has appointed Tito Okuku as Managing Director (MD) for Eastern Africa.

    With over 25 years of leadership in logistics and supply chain across African markets, Okuku brings deep expertise in strategy, operations, and fleet management.

    He will oversee Maersk’s commercial activities in key countries, including Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.

    Okuku returns to Maersk after previously serving as MD of APM Terminals Kenya in 2014.

    Richard Morgan, Managing Director, Maersk – Indian Subcontinent, Middle East and Africa, said:

    “Tito’s appointment marks an exciting chapter for our Eastern Africa business. His proven track record, hands-on knowledge of the region and passion for developing people make him the right leader to drive sustainable growth and deliver continued value to our customers.

    “We are confident that Maersk will deepen its presence and partnerships in Eastern Africa under his leadership.”

    Tito Okuku, Managing Director for Eastern Africa, stated: “I am honoured to rejoin Maersk and take on this important responsibility. East Africa is a dynamic and diverse region full of potential.

    “I look forward to working closely with our teams and customers to deliver resilient, agile, and customer-focused supply chain solutions that enable trade and create shared growth.”

    Recently, Maersk reported a 7.8 per cent revenue increase to $13.3 billion and EBIT rising to $1.3 billion from $177 million year-over-year (YoY) in Q1 2025.
