Hasti Petrochemical & Shipping Ltd. (HPCSL) has officially inaugurated the Thar Dry Port ICD Hirnoda, a state-of-the-art inland container depot strategically located near Jaipur, Rajasthan. The facility was formally inaugurated on May 30, 2026, by Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma in the presence of Rajasthan Industries Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Jaipur Rural MP Rao Rajendra Singh, and State Minister K. K. Bishnoi.
Developed with an investment of approximately ₹300 crore across more than 100 acres, the Thar Dry Port is designed to handle over 250,000 TEUs annually. The project has been developed under the Rising Rajasthan Initiative and the PM Gati Shakti Mission, marking a significant milestone in strengthening Rajasthan’s logistics and trade infrastructure.
Speaking at the inauguration, Rao Rajendra Singh described the project as a landmark initiative that would usher in a new era of industrial growth and global recognition for Rajasthan. Industries Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore highlighted the state’s strategic location and connectivity, stating that Rajasthan is well-positioned to play a crucial role in India’s journey towards a developed nation.
HPCSL Managing Director Ruchir Parekh said the Thar Dry Port would substantially reduce logistics costs, improve market access, and enhance the global competitiveness of Rajasthan’s exporters. Minister K.K. Bishnoi noted that the project would attract investments, generate employment, and accelerate industrial development across the state.
Located just 55 kilometres from Jaipur, the facility has transformed previously barren land into a world-class multimodal logistics hub, effectively bringing port-like infrastructure to the heart of the landlocked state. The ICD is seamlessly connected to the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor and offers direct rail access to the major gateway ports of Mundra and Pipavav in Gujarat.
The facility will serve major industrial clusters including Mahindra SEZ, Bagru, Dudu, VKIA, Sitapura, and Alwar district, benefiting exporters from sectors such as handicrafts, textiles, garments, marble, engineering goods, agro-products, renewable energy equipment, and FMCG.
The Thar Dry Port offers comprehensive logistics services, including high-capacity container handling and storage, on-site customs clearance, warehousing, value-added logistics solutions, and integrated road and rail connectivity. By reducing transit times and logistics costs, the project is expected to significantly boost Rajasthan’s export competitiveness while creating substantial direct and indirect employment opportunities.
With world-class infrastructure and strategic connectivity, the Thar Dry Port ICD Hirnoda is poised to become a key logistics gateway, strengthening Rajasthan’s position as a major hub for domestic and international trade.
