Maersk has announced revisions to its intermodal fuel pricing for transport services across the United Kingdom and Ireland, reflecting changes in fuel market conditions and operating costs affecting inland logistics.

The updated fuel charges apply to Maersk’s intermodal services, which integrate road and rail transportation to move containerized cargo between ports, inland terminals, distribution centres, and customer facilities. The revised pricing is intended to ensure that fuel-related costs remain aligned with prevailing market conditions.

Maersk said the adjustments form part of its regular review of inland transportation charges, helping maintain transparent and predictable pricing for customers while supporting the continued delivery of reliable logistics services.

The carrier’s intermodal network in the UK and Ireland plays a key role in connecting major seaports with inland freight hubs, facilitating the movement of consumer goods, industrial products, retail cargo, food items, and other containerized shipments. Updated fuel pricing will apply in accordance with the company’s published schedule and applicable contracts.

Industry observers noted that periodic fuel surcharge revisions are a standard practice across the logistics sector, enabling transport providers to manage fluctuations in fuel prices while maintaining service quality and operational efficiency.

The revised intermodal fuel pricing underscores Maersk’s ongoing focus on adapting its inland logistics operations to evolving market conditions while continuing to provide integrated transport solutions that support efficient and resilient supply chains across the UK and Ireland.
