Messina Shipping has resumed its port calls to Syria, reinstating services that had been temporarily suspended due to operational and geopolitical considerations.

The carrier confirmed that vessels will once again call at key Syrian ports, enabling the transport of containerized cargo, bulk goods, and essential commodities. Messina Shipping said the decision follows improvements in operational security and port readiness, ensuring reliable and safe shipping services.

Industry analysts note that the resumption of calls is expected to strengthen trade flows between Syria and regional partners, providing shippers with more consistent transit options and improving supply chain connectivity. The move also reflects broader efforts by shipping companies to re-establish services in markets affected by geopolitical disruptions.

Messina emphasized that the company remains committed to operational safety, compliance with international regulations, and maintaining high service standards as it re-engages with the Syrian market.
