Regional Container Lines (RCL) has successfully discharged a major breakbulk project cargo at Port Klang, transported aboard the vessel JIRA BHUM 009 E after loading at Nhava Sheva.
The shipment marks a significant milestone for Regional Container Lines, representing the first-ever breakbulk cargo handled by RCL Agencies India and the third successful breakbulk operation executed by the company globally.
The cargo consisted of a 51-metric-ton transformer, a complex piece of project equipment that required meticulous planning, specialised handling, and strict safety protocols throughout the loading, transit, and discharge stages.
According to RCL, the successful execution of the project reflects the close coordination between the company’s operational teams and vessel crew at both ports. Their efforts ensured the safe movement and efficient handling of the heavy cargo despite the operational challenges typically associated with breakbulk shipments.
The achievement highlights RCL’s growing capability in managing specialised cargo beyond conventional containerised freight, reinforcing its ability to handle complex logistics projects across its regional network.
With the successful completion of the operation, RCL emphasised its commitment to expanding its expertise in project cargo logistics, demonstrating that even highly challenging shipments can be executed safely with precise planning and coordination.
