In a significant step toward scaling multimodal logistics in India, Sawariya Shakti Group, in partnership with Gateway Distriparks Limited, has successfully completed its first door-to-door container movement for Indorama Ventures’ Indovinya business segment.

The shipment was transported from the Multi-Modal Logistics Park (MMLP) at Ankleshwar to Jammu using a rail-led multimodal solution, underscoring the growing shift toward integrated and efficient cargo movement across long distances.

This milestone highlights the increasing adoption of multimodal logistics by leading industrial players seeking improved reliability, cost efficiency, and reduced transit times. By combining first-mile and last-mile road connectivity with long-haul rail transport, the initiative demonstrates a scalable logistics model aligned with India’s infrastructure and sustainability goals.

Sawariya Shakti Group noted that the successful execution marks a key achievement in onboarding major industry clients onto its expanding logistics ecosystem. The company reiterated its commitment to strengthening rail-led supply chains capable of handling cargo movement across the country with greater efficiency and scale.

The development also reflects the broader momentum behind multimodal logistics parks like MMLP New Ankleshwar, which are emerging as critical nodes in India’s drive to modernize freight transportation and reduce logistics costs.
