India-based logistics provider Tiger Logistics has secured a ₹4 crore contract from Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited to transport 13 oversized cargo units from Italy to India, strengthening its presence in the project cargo and heavy-lift logistics segment.
Under the contract, Tiger Logistics will manage the end-to-end transportation of the large industrial units, overseeing specialized handling, multimodal movement, customs coordination, and delivery to the designated project site in India. The shipment involves oversized and heavy cargo that requires detailed planning and specialized logistics expertise.
The order highlights the growing demand for project logistics services linked to infrastructure, power, and industrial development projects. Transporting large industrial equipment across international routes typically involves complex regulatory compliance, route surveys, and coordination between shipping, port, and inland transport operators.
Company officials said the contract reflects Tiger Logistics’ capabilities in handling high-value and oversized cargo movements, an area that continues to gain importance as Indian industries source specialized equipment from global suppliers.
The project is expected to contribute to the company’s revenue pipeline while reinforcing its position in the niche project cargo market.
