    V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority (VOCPA) and Paradip Port Authority have strengthened efforts towards sustainable maritime development through discussions on green shipping initiatives and future collaboration.

    A meeting was held between Shri Susanta Kumar Purohit, IRSEE, Chairperson, V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority, accompanied by Shri Rajesh Soundararajan, IAS, Deputy Chairperson, and senior officials of the Port, with Shri P. L. Haranadh, IRTS, Chairperson, Paradip Port Authority. Officials from the Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) and Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) also participated in the discussions.

    The meeting focused on advancing green maritime initiatives, promoting sustainable port and shipping practices, and strengthening cooperation between the two major ports. Participants also explored opportunities for collaborative projects aimed at improving operational efficiency while supporting India’s transition towards a low-carbon and environmentally sustainable maritime ecosystem.

    The discussions highlighted the growing emphasis on inter-port collaboration and partnerships with key maritime stakeholders to accelerate the adoption of green technologies, cleaner shipping practices, and resilient port infrastructure in line with the country’s maritime sustainability goals.
