New Mangalore Port Authority (NMPA) has achieved a significant milestone by handling a record 50.04 million tonnes of cargo during the financial year 2025–26, marking the highest-ever throughput in its history. The achievement comes in the port’s landmark 50th financial year, underscoring its steady growth and operational strength.

To celebrate this accomplishment, Smt. S. Shanthi, Deputy Chairperson of NMPA, joined senior officials, port users, stakeholders, and employees in commemorating the occasion. The event highlighted the collective efforts and strong collaboration among all stakeholders that contributed to this success.

Speaking on the milestone, officials emphasized that the record performance reflects NMPA’s continued focus on operational excellence, efficiency, and customer-centric services. The port’s sustained growth trajectory is also attributed to its strategic initiatives and the unwavering support of its trade partners.

This achievement further reinforces NMPA’s position as a key maritime gateway on India’s west coast, playing a vital role in facilitating trade and contributing to the nation’s economic development.
