Ocean Network Express (ONE) will restructure its Irish Sea Express service by splitting the network into two separate loops starting from late May 2026, aiming to improve schedule reliability, regional connectivity, and operational efficiency across the Irish Sea trade.

The revised structure is expected to provide more direct port coverage and enhanced frequency for customers moving cargo between the United Kingdom, Ireland, and continental Europe. ONE said the dual-loop configuration will help optimise transit times and strengthen service flexibility amid evolving trade and supply chain requirements in the region.

Shipping industry analysts noted that the restructuring reflects growing efforts by container carriers to fine-tune regional feeder and short-sea networks to improve reliability and manage operational costs. The changes are also expected to support smoother cargo flows and reduce delays across Irish Sea logistics corridors.
