The Western Region Chapter (WRC) of the Association of Multimodal Transport Operators of India successfully organized its Networking & Fellowship Meet 2026 at the Bombay Presidency Golf Club, bringing together key stakeholders from the logistics, shipping, freight forwarding, multimodal transport, warehousing, and supply chain sectors.

The event served as a valuable platform for industry professionals to strengthen business relationships, exchange ideas, and explore opportunities for collaboration amid the rapidly evolving logistics landscape.

Welcoming the participants, Dr. Sharmila Amin highlighted the significant growth of the chapter in recent years and reiterated its vision of creating a vibrant forum for industry engagement and collective contribution to India’s logistics and multimodal transport ecosystem.

She noted that the Western Region Chapter has emerged as one of AMTOI’s most active chapters, attributing its success to the strong support of members, industry partners, and chapter leadership. Emphasizing the chapter’s diverse membership base, she said the platform brings together multimodal transport operators, freight forwarders, shipping lines, transporters, warehouse operators, technology providers, and allied service partners, enabling greater knowledge-sharing and cooperation.

Dr. Amin also acknowledged the contributions of Prashant Popat, the AMTOI Managing Committee, and chapter members for their continued commitment to the association’s growth.

Addressing industry developments, she observed that digital transformation, sustainability initiatives, infrastructure expansion, and changing global trade patterns are reshaping supply chains worldwide. She stressed that collaboration, trust, and knowledge exchange among stakeholders remain critical for the sector’s long-term growth and competitiveness.

The networking meet facilitated meaningful discussions on emerging trends, business opportunities, and the future of logistics and multimodal transportation in India. Participants also had the opportunity to build new professional connections and strengthen existing partnerships.

The formal proceedings were followed by an evening of networking over cocktails and dinner, fostering informal interactions and reinforcing the spirit of cooperation that has become a hallmark of the AMTOI Western Region Chapter.

AMTOI reaffirmed its commitment to advancing the logistics sector through advocacy, stakeholder engagement, professional development, and initiatives aimed at enhancing India’s logistics competitiveness. The association also emphasized its focus on encouraging greater participation of young professionals and promoting innovation across the industry.

The event concluded with participants expressing appreciation for the opportunity to engage with peers, exchange industry insights, and strengthen professional relationships within the logistics community.
