Lufthansa Cargo has advised customers to expect possible delays in air freight shipments passing through Frankfurt and Munich airports due to operational constraints affecting cargo handling and processing activities.

The carrier said shipments may experience longer transit times as airport operations adjust to the temporary disruptions. Customers have been urged to factor potential delays into their supply chain planning and monitor shipment status closely.

Lufthansa Cargo is working with airport authorities and ground handling partners to minimise the impact on cargo operations and restore normal processing as quickly as possible. The airline continues to prioritise the movement of time-sensitive and essential shipments where feasible.

Frankfurt and Munich serve as key cargo gateways in Lufthansa Cargo’s global network, handling significant volumes of international freight connecting Europe with Asia, the Americas, the Middle East, and Africa. Any disruption at these hubs can have a ripple effect across global supply chains.

The airline has assured customers that it will provide timely updates as the situation evolves and has encouraged shippers and freight forwarders to stay in contact with local representatives for the latest operational information.
