AD Ports Group has signed a landmark 50-year agreement with Oylz Terminals, a UAE-based oil supply and distribution provider, to develop a clean petroleum storage facility at Khalifa Port.

The project will involve the construction of a state-of-the-art 600,000 cbm tank storage facility, which will be developed in two phases.

The first phase is expected to be operational by mid-2027.

The new facility is expected to enhance Khalifa Port’s existing infrastructure, positioning it as a key energy storage and trading hub in the region.

By expanding its liquid storage capabilities, the port will be able to accommodate increasing global demand for petroleum storage, supporting the UAE’s strategic role in the global energy sector.

Saif Al Mazrouei, Chief Executive Officer of the Ports Cluster at AD Ports Group, welcomed Oylz Terminals to Khalifa Port, stating: “We are delighted to welcome Oylz Terminals to Khalifa Port. This agreement underlines the strategic importance of Khalifa Port as a vital trade hub, not only for the UAE but for the entire region.

“This liquid storage terminal will enhance our port’s capabilities and attract more customers seeking world-class infrastructure and seamless access to global markets. We look forward to a long and prosperous partnership with Oylz Terminals.”

The development of this facility is expected to support the UAE’s position as a leading global commodity distribution hub, creating new job opportunities and fostering increased trade activities.

Just recently, AD Ports Group announced a strategic partnership agreement signed between its digital arm, Maqta Technologies Group and Pakistan Single Window (PSW). This cooperation seeks to boost digital innovation and efficiency in Pakistan’s cross-border commerce by using both organisations’ experience in building and implementing digital solutions.
