In a significant stride toward enhancing India’s export capabilities, Container Corporation of India Ltd. (CONCOR) has successfully launched its first export shipment in CONCOR-owned containers from Chennai Port to Jebel Ali, UAE.
The inaugural shipment — comprising 4 TEUs — was loaded aboard MV. Whutthi Bhum on August 1, 2025, symbolizing a new chapter in CONCOR’s international logistics operations. This milestone marks the establishment of a new trade lane connecting Chennai with key destinations in the Middle East and the Far East, including China.
With this launch, CONCOR reinforces its role as a key enabler in India’s global supply chain by extending its logistics footprint beyond national borders. The initiative is designed to provide end-to-end, seamless logistics solutions to Indian exporters, simplifying access to global markets.
“This isn’t just a container movement — it’s the beginning of a broader, bolder logistics strategy,” a senior CONCOR official stated. “We are now bridging Chennai to the world, delivering smart, scalable, and efficient logistics for India’s exporters.”
The move reflects CONCOR’s ongoing transformation into a globally integrated logistics provider, leveraging Indian expertise and infrastructure to enable international trade.
